Another Illustration II assignment, also True Crime.

I had this demented, Jack Nicholson-esque idea of "herrrrrrrrrrrrre's JACKIE!!!" all maniacle and shit, lol, yes, I can be a little fucked in the head on occasion. . .

way out of my normal mode of doing things but I think it's one of my most successful pieces.

This is done on parchment paper mounted to illustration board. . . I went online and downloaded stock images of one of the letters that Jack the Ripper sent to Scotland Yard and printed it out on the parchment then I went back over it w/pencil, pen, and ink to draw the figure ripping thru it. I made sure to utilize the text as texture as well as words and I think it adds well to the demented element, especially in his eyes and as blood on his hands and in his mouth

I absolutely love this piece however, I do have to give credit to who is a totally awesome, bad ass artist b/c I definitely used his piece, "Skull Beneath the Skin" as a reference ---> [link]
